About the Opportunity
Are you a motivated IT professional or system administrator eager to transition into the DevOps world? We are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join our team, where you’ll collaborate with Engineering to automate processes, manage infrastructure, and support our deployment pipeline for a seamless development experience. This entry-level role offers the perfect environment to grow your skills in cloud technologies, system administration, and automation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- CI/CD Pipeline Management: Work with the R&D team to manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Support infrastructure management using IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- System Optimization: Monitor, maintain, and optimize cloud and on-premises systems for performance and reliability.
- Automation Support: Assist in developing and implementing automation scripts to streamline tasks in development, deployment, and operations.
- Issue Resolution: Help troubleshoot and resolve system performance, security, and automation issues.
- Monitoring & Maintenance: Participate in system and application monitoring using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Version Control: Support version control and code collaboration using Git.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest DevOps and cloud technologies, enhancing your technical skills.
- User Support: Provide day-to-day support to internal users.
- Security Implementation: Implement and maintain security methodologies and concepts.
- Product Deployment: Deploy and maintain Falkor products across on-premises and cloud environments.
What We’re Looking For
To excel in this role, you should bring:
- Technical Foundation: 1-2 years in DevOps or IT, with exposure to DevOps tools and practices.
- Cloud Familiarity: Basic knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Hardware Experience: Understanding of hardware, including servers, switches, and firewalls.
- Scripting Skills: Basic experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash.
- Networking & Security: Foundational knowledge of networking and security concepts.
- CI/CD Knowledge: Familiarity with CI/CD principles and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Communication Skills: Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
- Motivated Learner: Self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning.
- Certifications (Optional): Certification in cloud or DevOps technologies (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals) is a plus.
Bonus Skills
- Containerization & Orchestration: Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Hardware Support: Experience with hardware management.
- Network & Security Best Practices: Knowledge of network and security protocols.
- Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring solutions like Prometheus, Splunk, or the ELK stack.
